Original Research Article

Report new empirical or design-based findings with clear methods.

Structure: Introduction → Methods → Results → Discussion → Conclusion → References

Abstract: Required

Preferred length follows author guidelines (typically 6–8 pages; max 10 unless agreed).

Review Article

Synthesize and critically assess a body of literature.

Structure: Introduction → Thematic synthesis → Gaps → Implications → References

Must go beyond annotated bibliography; state selection criteria where applicable.

Short Communication

Concise report of a focused finding or methodological note.

Structure: Brief introduction → Methods/notes → Results → Short discussion → References

Shorter than a full research article; still requires originality.

Educational Practice / Case Paper

Document practice innovations, classroom or institutional cases with reflection.

Structure: Context → Intervention/practice → Outcomes → Lessons → References

Abstract: Required

Suitable for teacher/school practice contributions when evidence is clear.

Perspective / Policy Paper

Argue a scholarly position on policy or practice with evidence and reasoning.

Structure: Issue framing → Evidence → Argument → Recommendations → References

Distinguish opinion from evidence; disclose conflicts of interest.

Editorial

Editorial board commentary on issues, collections, or journal directions.

Structure: As directed by editors
